Privacy Policy

Draft — not legal advice. Written by the marketing team to reflect how the site actually works. It must be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before publication. Bracketed placeholders ([LIKE THIS]) are filled in by the owner before publishing.

Last updated: June 6, 2026 · Applies to: www.codeyourcompany.ai and the founder pre-sale.

We keep this short on purpose. We collect the minimum we need to run the founder pre-sale, take payment, and understand how people find us. Nothing more.

1. Who we are

The Site is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS]("we", "us"). For any privacy question, contact us at [privacy@codeyourcompany.ai].

Owner: confirm the controlling legal entity, registered address, and a working privacy contact address before publishing.

2. What we collect, and why

We only collect data for specific, stated purposes:

We do not sell your data, and we do not collect special-category data (health, beliefs, etc.).

3. Payments are handled by Stripe

All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your card details on our servers — Stripe does, under its own Privacy Policy and PCI-DSS compliance. We receive only what we need to manage your membership (e.g. that a payment succeeded, your email, plan term, and the last four digits / card brand for support).

4. Analytics & cookies

We use PostHog to measure how the Site is used and to improve it. PostHog may set cookies or use similar local-storage technologies to recognize returning visits and de-duplicate sessions.

  • We capture UTM parameters on your first visit so we know which channel referred you (first-touch attribution).
  • We use analytics to improve the page — not to build advertising profiles or track you across other websites.
  • Our PostHog data is hosted in the EU region.

Consent: Where required (e.g. for EU/EEA/UK visitors under GDPR/ePrivacy), non-essential analytics cookies are only set after you consent via our cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time. Essential cookies needed to run checkout are always on.

5. Legal bases (GDPR)

For visitors in the EU/EEA/UK, we rely on:

  • Contract — to process your payment and deliver your membership.
  • Consent — for marketing emails (double opt-in) and non-essential analytics cookies.
  • Legitimate interests — to keep the Site secure and understand aggregate usage, balanced against your rights.

6. How long we keep it

  • Waitlist emails: until you unsubscribe, or after a period of inactivity.
  • Customer & payment records: for as long as you are a member, plus the period required by law (e.g. tax/accounting retention).
  • Analytics: retained in PostHog according to its default retention; aggregated and de-identified where possible.

7. Where your data goes

We use processors that may store or process data outside your country (e.g. Stripe, Resend, PostHog). Where data leaves the EU/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses). We share data only with the processors listed above, and only to run the service. We will also disclose data if required by law.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR for the EU/EEA/UK, CCPA for California), you can ask us to:

  • Access the data we hold about you,
  • Correct or delete it,
  • Object to or restrict processing,
  • Port your data elsewhere,
  • Withdraw consent at any time (including unsubscribing from emails — every email has a one-click unsubscribe).

To exercise any of these, email [privacy@codeyourcompany.ai]. We'll respond within the time the law requires. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Security

We use reputable processors (Stripe, Resend, PostHog) and reasonable technical measures to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the amount of data we hold deliberately small to limit risk.

10. Children

The Site is for professional adults and is not directed at anyone under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, for material changes, notify members by email.

12. Contact
